Congratulations to Haydn and John on their Service to CKC
During CKC’s AGM on the 6th of December 2022, our longest-serving Trustees and two of the charity’s founders – Haydn Turner and John Challinor stepped down from their respective positions as Chair Person and Treasurer for the charity.
Both Haydn and John will continue on as Trustees and we would like to take this moment to express our gratitude for their service over the last 33 years. Thank you!
Shahidul Alam Ratan, Chief Executive Officer said, “Over 33 years, since the beginning of CKC, Haydn and John were at the forefront of the charity. In good or challenging times they always stood up and made sure the aim and objectives were maintained and steadily grew. We are grateful for them both. I am sure the new chairman and treasurer will continue to do the same and grow the charity. I wish KK and Will all the very best”.

During the AGM, the following officers were elected:
Kalyan Kumar was elected as Capital Kids Cricket’s new Chair Person and William Ellse as the charity’s new Treasurer. Colin Ferguson was selected as the charity’s new secretary.
Kalyan Kumar (KK) is the Global Chief Technology Officer at HCL Technologies & Chief Product Officer at HCL Software in the UK. KK is a member of the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) CIO Network, the CNBC Technology Executive Council, a Fellow of British Computer Society and also part of WEF Global Future Council 2020 & 2021 for Quantum Computing. KK was also named in the Top 100 Technology Leaders of 2021 in the Technology Magazine. He serves on the Board of two startups and a midsize technology company in Hybrid Data/Analytics domain. KK has co-authored 8 books spanning the domains of Service Management, XaaS, CloudNative, and Process Re-engineering. KK is a die-hard cricket follower and involved with CKC as a trustee past 5 years, he is also a member of MCC.

William Ellse is Vice President of Pure Storage and responsible for Worldwide Sales for Global Accounts, Managed Service Providers, and GSIs Ecosystem. Will has over 20 years of experience spans both the infrastructure side of IT (platform, cloud, Big Data, AI…) and importantly the business applications (ERP, CRM and BI). Outside IT profession Will is very passionate to support young people using cricket as a tool to build up success.
