Denise O’Neill

INCLUSION COORDINATOR & COACH

Denise has been involved with CKC from 2000 initially acting as a parent driver to games, competitions, festivals etc. Denise soon did her ECB Level 2 coaching qualification and was a coach for CKC and progressed into specialising in hospital schools 16 years ago, starting with Great Ormond Street Hospital. Denise started as a full-time coach with CKC in 2010, again with the intention to focus on hospital schools and SEND children and adults. Denise’s enthusiasm for cricket started when her son began playing for Stoke Newington CC and Denise began to fall in love with the game from there. Furthermore, Denise was granted the opportunity to be a torch bearer in the Paralympics for her amazing work in and around SEND projects.  Denise has a list of recognisable achievements however, some of which she takes extra pride in is the Special Reconciliation for Work at GOSH Chance to Shine, National Chance to Shine No Boundaries Award 2019 and the nomination for Children of Collingham Child and Family the Apollo Award. These were all nationally recognised awards, you can read more on her outstanding work on our website blog post page https://www.ckc.london/blog/denise-wins-national-recognition here.
