Getting Families Active

Throughout the year we run a variety of events and activities aimed at encouraging whole families to get active. These include regular aerobics/sports sessions for mothers and children, as well as festivals and family days throughout the summer months.

Over the last year, in spite of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have stepped up our work with families through a shift to online activities aimed at improving both the physical and mental health of families during a time that has been challenging for everyone. Having moved the aerobics sessions online, we have also worked hard to adapt to the needs and interests of our participants to ensure that we have the greatest engagement and impact possible.

As such, we have run regular online ‘box fit’ style sessions alongside a range of cricket challenges and arts and crafts competitions.
