CKC and Middlesex to Supports the Community Cricket League in Victoria Park
Capital Kids Cricket (CKC) and Middlesex Cricket will be supporting the Cricket League in Victoria Park. This means that National Youth Cricket League (NYCL), running over the last 5 years at Victoria Park, will see a series of events held throughout the summer to increase Participation numbers in cricket.
The partnership aims to increase participation and engagement in cricket among young adults and bring people back into the game. Focusing on promoting cricket to those who may not have had the opportunity to play before including those who are local to Victoria Park. We are planning to maximise the use of available facilities and push the council towards creating better and much-needed facilities in the borough.
The league “NYCL Dark Leopard T20 Cricket”, which will run every Sunday from the beginning of May to the end of August will see 12 local teams take part in 2 divisions. In addition, in late summer a T10 tournament will be held after finishing the league.
Speaking about the partnership, CKC CEO, Shahidul Alam Ratan said: “We are delighted to support this league in Victoria Park, promote cricket in the borough, especially amongst hoping adults and create better community cohesion by using the game of cricket. We know that cricket is a sport that can have a positive impact on young people’s lives, and we are committed to making it accessible to as many young people as possible.”
