Capital Kids Cricket uses cricket, life skill workshops, and mentoring to improve and develop the physical, social, and emotional health and wellbeing of disadvantaged children, young people, and families from deprived areas across London.

To achieve this we work with a wide variety of beneficiaries across a range of settings including work in state schools, pupil referral units, hospital schools, cricket clubs, residentials and trips, holiday camps, and competitions.

CKC UPDATES

Bowl Out Racism at the House of Commons

CKC officially launched its Bowl Out Racism campaign at the House of Commons, hosted by Rachel Blake MP. The event brought together partners, supporters, and leaders from across the cricket community, including two ECB directors, despite major travel disruption caused by the tube strike. Key speakers included Rachel Blake MP, Maia Bouchier (CKC President), Angus Fraser (former England fast bowler & MD of Middlesex Cricket in the Community), along with Abdul Hai OBE, Kalyan Kumar, Martin Smith, and CKC role models Manav Patel and Tanvir Ahamed. Their inspiring words highlighted the power of cricket in tackling racism and supporting young people. Also in attendance were Baroness Zahida Manzoor (ECB Board Member) and Kate Aldridge (ECB Business Operations & EDI Director), whose presence added significant encouragement to the campaign. The launch reinforced CKC’s mission of using cricket not just as a sport, but as a tool to change lives and society.
